Observatory

Mt. Tento (Tentozan—literally “heaven city mountain”) is so named because the view from its summit is said to have “beauty that creates the feeling of ascending to a heavenly city.” The mountain was designated a national cultural asset as a “place of scenic beauty” in 1938. The grand 360° panorama from its peak is truly something to see.
